As the social media landscape continues to shift, PR pros must be prepared to adapt so they can best serve their brands. Twitter is the go-to source for breaking news and a powerful social media channel for connecting with influencers, media and other key audiences. As we focus more on the impact social media has in our society, Twitter continues to make changes to deliver better user experiences while adhering to the company’s policies and values. 

Laura Trierweiler, Client Account Manager at Twitter, will provide an update on the future of Twitter and what it will mean for brands. Her presentation will cover best practices for creating engaging tweets, cultivating an impactful Twitter presence and best practices in advertising on Twitter.

A Lansing-area native and Spartan (Go Green!), Laura Trierweiler started her career in public relations/communications with the Michigan Senate. After some time in politics in Lansing, she moved to the Detroit area and worked in an agency for years with clients that included Microsoft and automotive suppliers. Continuing her career in the automotive space, she later worked for Ally Financial which led to her current role at Twitter more than three years ago. A hybrid role between agency & client support as well as consulting, Trierweiler works specifically with General Motors and their brands on how to best navigate, activate and find success within Twitter in both their organic and paid strategy.
